Achieving success with Google Ads begins with choosing the right goal (also known as an adjective) and campaign type.

You’ll choose a campaign type based on your marketing goals, brand strategy and how much time you can invest.

When people search on Google for products, services and other items and Google throws up a bunch of search based results with the word ‘Sponsored’ just above them, these are search campaigns. These text ads on search results that let you reach people while they’re searching on Google for the products and services you offer.

It’s great for driving sales, leads or traffic to your website, as you can show your ads to people actively searching for your products and services.

In the industry when forecasting results, we typically look at ROAS which is Return on Ad Spend which is calculated by Total Revenue achieved from the Campaign ÷ Campaign Spend. A good ROAS for Google Ads is anything above 2% — or a 2:1 return. Simply put, for every $1 you spend on advertising, you would expect $2 or more dollars in return. However we sometimes achieve a lot better. We are happy to provide you with a high level forecast of what results you may expect from advertising with us after 2-3 months of optimising the campaign, however please note, the conversion rate of your website plays a huge role. We base our conversion rates on 1-5% but if the conversion rate of your website is less, we will need to work together to first optimise your website before we can expect these results. We also don’t know how well you will convert the enquiries or sales we generate as a company, nor the revenue you generate on average per new lead which varies from company to company. But we can add these to the forecast if you share this data with us, should we be engaged. Rest assured it is our aim to get the best possible results for your investment.

No, Google Ads allows you to set your budget based on your advertising goals. We would recommend a budget of $1000 per month to start with on our Starter package, which works out to be around $33/day. In addition, we charge a set up fee (one off) and monthly management fee. From time to time we will consider mobilising a ‘set and forget’ campaign but we do not recommend these as they tend to trend downwards over time without active management, and you will also likely pay more cost per click than you would with active management.
