Australian Marriage Celebrants (AMC) serves as a crucial link, connecting couples with registered marriage celebrants throughout Australia via their comprehensive online directory. In addition to this service, AMC provides celebrants with a wealth of resources, educational materials, and a supportive community network, all aimed at enhancing their knowledge and professionalism.
We were delighted when AMC approached us to migrate their custom website development to WordPress. Their goal was to incorporate several new features and functionalities to improve user experience and streamline their operations. Some of the key features they wanted to add included:
- eCommerce functionality for membership sign-ups and the sale of books and other products.
- Woocommerce events section for listing location and online events.
- Integration of Gravity Forms for easy form submission.
- Account platform integration for standard configuration.
- Custom post-type grids or carousels for regional meetings published by date.
- Upcoming events section featuring a date range, location, contact person email and phone, and the option for free or paid events, with the ability to choose between members and non-members only, with an email function to contact the event organizer.
- A dedicated members area for celebrants.
- Team profiles for the executive team and regional coordinators.
- Blogs for couples and celebrants within the members’ area.
- Integration with their Mailchimp system to segment members by profile fields.
The newly revamped website, now live at https://marriagecelebrants.org.au/, has been well received by the executive committee, regional coordinators, volunteers, celebrant members, and couples seeking a celebrant. The implementation of these new features has significantly improved user engagement and satisfaction.
