Australian socialite, professional speaker, award-winning business woman and now author, Tracey Jewel announces the release of her second book ‘Don’t Mess With the Goddess’. The book details deeply personal issues, including Jewel’s struggle to overcome an emotionally and physically abusive relationship, and her journey from goddess to party girl and back again.

“It’s important that women pay attention to early warning signs and that they do not stay in an abusive relationship,” says Jewel. “Women must get out and get safe. I did and my life has completely transformed. When you come out on the other side after going through very difficult times, nothing seems so bad. You will see a brighter rainbow than many people do.”

With her bold personal and writing style which is both profound and engaging at the same time, Jewel is no stranger to fame. Having been in a a number of high profile relationships, including Channel 10’s The Bachelor Blake Garvey, Adultshop.com founder Malcolm Day and property developer Luke Saraceni, Jewel has been in the spotlight both here in Australia and the US and goes to show that abuse can crop up in any relationship. In 2011 Jewel appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, discussing the stresses and guilt of being a busy mum and how to find the balance between successful business women and motherhood. Jewel is now also a regular presenter for Mind Body Spirit, a national annual festival.

Her new book ‘’Don’t Mess with the Goddess’ is the long awaited sequel to her first book, ‘The Goddess Within’ and she says is the ultimate empowerment guide to establishing independence, finding success, and a truly satisfying life after leaving an abusive relationship.

The book looks at a series of reflections from Jewel’s highly popular weekly blog that currently attracts over 65,000 followers from around the globe. Violence against women is a topic particularly close to Jewels heart, and still remains a serious issue on a global scale. WHO stats reveal that Intimate partner violence remains the most common type of violence, affecting 30% of women worldwide.
