Award-winning Billy’s Buddies is the brainchild of Billy Slater – former Melbourne Storm, Queensland and Australian Rugby League representative. Billy’s Buddies is a Ball Sports Program for kids aged 2-6 and the home of Non-Contact Rugby League for children. Billy’s Buddies love all sports, not just Rugby League. Their programs emphasise having fun and encouraging children to develop their social skills and working as a team.
Billy’s Buddies was announced Best National Preschooler Activity for children aged 3-5 at 2019 What’s On 4 Kids Awards and their primary goal of Billy’s Buddies is to introduce as many children as possible (between the ages of 2 and 6) to the basics of ball sports in a non-contact, fun, social and affordable setting.We were approached by Billy’s Buddies in December 2019 who had been running their own Facebook Ads & Google Ads campaigns to date. We therefore performed an audit, provided the client with feedback and then created new ads structures in each account.
We mobilised x3 Facebook Ad campaigns for them:
1/ TRAFFIC CAMPAIGN aimed at sending traffic to their dedicated lead page:
2/ LEAD GENERATION CAMPAIGN – capturing leads such as Name, Email and mobile number. Aimed at being a quick and easy form and to get parents enquiring.
3/ CONVERSIONS CAMPAIGN – the goal of this campaign was to get registrations.
Multiple audiences were deployed including cold audiences, custom audiences from client lists provided + lookalikes + web traffic remarketing + lookalikes.
The results were that two weeks into the campaign the client had had some of their biggest weeks ever and saw Facebook messages pick up significantly, generating 45 leads in the initial 2 weeks.
Overall the campaign ran for one month, and achieved the following results:
Spend – $2716 on FB ads in one month period
The client did not provide a final report on leads but we would estimate 90-100. Had it not been for COVID the intention was to continue working together however this business ceased operating through that period.
