During the past month, several of our team were involved in a promotional campaign for Nextear — the world’s smartest wireless headphones campaign.
I wanted to do you the courtesy of letting you know the final outcome of the campaign, in case you hadn’t heard.
21-year-old Jonathan Zuvela of Lithgow, NSW thought it would be ambitious, but hopefully achievable to raise $20,000 when he launched his crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo at the end of April 2015, with a view of creating NEXTEAR – the world’s smartest wireless earphones.
But what happened next surpassed everyone’s expectations.
During the one month campaign, Zuvela raised $199,501USD — exceeding his target by 983% after selling his product to 1,407 people around the world.
Not only that, but the product featured in countless publications and blogs around the world, the press release was translated into numerous languages, his promotional video was viewed almost 60,000 times and syndicated onto numerous sites and his website received thousands of users and also made it into the Indiegogo newsletter and mobile view front page log in.
The product is now in production and will be available in October 2015. … They will retail at $267.
The campaign was so successful, we have had numerous people asking us about how we did it, to the point we’ve decided to run a free webinar being held at 1230pm on Fri 5 June, where the team who made this campaign the incredible success it was will share their insights into what made it such a successful campaign.
Jump on and hear from:
THE ENTREPRENEUR – Jonathan Zuvela — the 21 year old who created the product – ultra small wireless earphones, which pair with any Bluetooth smart device to play studio quality music and which come with a multi-purpose rechargeable storage case which can charge any iPhone, tablet or Android, a 16GB flash memory, a built-in USB port, a key-hook, a LED light torch, and the ability to stream sound from your computer or TV with little to no latency. Jonathan also had the smarts to source a manufacturer in China, get a prototype and necessary safety certificates to turn the product from an idea into something people were dying to buy.
THE CAMPAIGN MANAGER – Katrina Lees —Partner of The Creative Collective — who masterminded the entire campaign including devising appropriate marketing activities, budget, pulling together the right team and making sure the campaign was performing every step of the way.
THE PR SPECIALIST – Yvette Adams — Partner of The Creative Collective who devised the PR strategy, wrote x2 killer press releases and secured over 100 global media pieces, with the media clambering to cover Jonathan and his amazing product.
THE GLOBAL ONLINE ADVERTISING GENIUS – Alastair Loxton — who devised the video advertising, social media advertising and Google Adwords campaign to drive traffic to the campaign when it was unknown and carefully monitor daily budgets and trends in different countries throughout the campaign, constantly tweaking and in some phases of the project completely diverting attention from one global market to another, in line with what analytics were telling him.
