INDUSTRY CASE STUDY:
Aquarian Pearls is an e-commerce business bringing you the finest pearls and pearl jewellery in the world direct from the worlds’ finest pearl cultivators. Their pearls are chosen for outstanding lustre and cleanliness of skins, strength and richness of colour. All their pearls are fully certified and guaranteed.
In late 2020, we produced a chat bot competition to assist Aquarian Pearls in gaining a database of client information for future marketing campaigns. This competition was also successful in bringing in more brand awareness, reach and engagement to the business Facebook page.
As part of the giveaway, users were required to comment on the giveaway post and then respond to automatic prompts from Facebook Messenger. All respondents that completed the prompts were then put in the draw to win a pair of earrings worth $3,200 RRP.
In the three week competition period, we achieved:
- 732 new Facebook followers (a growth of 50%)
- An approximate daily reach of 4000 Facebook users
- 38,000 Facebook users reached with 3,300 engagements on the competition post
- 905 total newsletter subscribers with a 90% conversion rate
These results are outstanding for Aquarian Pearls and allow the business to conduct more targeted marketing campaigns in the future. This competition also provided greater brand awareness, reach and engagement to the business Facebook page which can be used to convert audiences into customers in the coming months.

Lash and BRow Supplies
Lash and Brow Supplies engaged The Creative Collective in early January 2020 with the following SEO objectives:
- Increase position rankings and organic search visibility over six months
- Increase organic search traffic by 30%. Back in January 2020, organic traffic represented 60% of their traffic followed by Direct and Social
- Increase online sales and revenue by 25% over six months
Our strategy for this client changed throughout the duration of the campaign. Commencing in January, we were mainly aiming to target established beauty salon owners or Salon Sally’s.
However as products became increasingly difficult to source from China during the COVID-19 lock down, we began to see more at-home beauty specialists, described as At Home Helena’s, purchasing products.
In our monthly meetings with the client, we noticed a chance in keyword searches and advised the client to commence a Google Ad campaign to saturate search engines and capitalise on changing client behaviour.
This allowed Lash and Brow Supplies to undertake customer acquisition much more quickly and turned out to be a great strategy.
After only 6 months working with Lash and Brow Supplies on their SEO, we were able to achieve the following results:
- Web sessions grew 598.7% compared to the previous period
- Online sales went up by 348.9% compared to the previous period
- Online revenue went up 261.9% compared to the previous period
- Bounce rate went down by 3.8% compared to the previous period
