Calling All Business Women – Get Recognised on a Global Stage!

Calling All Business Women – Get Recognised on a Global Stage!

Are you a woman in business in Australia or New Zealand? Are you looking for a way to gain the recognition you so deserve? I have the solution for you!

Sept 28 is the final entry deadline for the 2012 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.… I’d love to see some of you amazing business women be recognised on a global stage and encourage you to enter. You may also know of other women who may be suited to this opportunity – please feel free to forward this on.

Back in 2008, I was only one year into running my home based business when I decided to throw my hat in the middle and ‘see what happened’.

I couldn’t believe it when I was named a finalist in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Asia, Australia or New Zealand… category so off I went to New York on my own, leaving my then 4-year-old and 1-year-old at home with Dad for 5 days!

Going to New York was a magical experience and has definitely been beneficial to my business in numerous ways. I’m now very proud to be assisting other enterprising Australians and New Zealanders go through the process I did with the role of Regional Coordinator for the various Stevie Awards programs, including this program, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Sounds like fun but I don’t think my business is ready…

Well, you can’t win if you don’t enter!… All organizations and individuals worldwide may participate — public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Remember, I was only one year in when I entered. Go on – you might surprise yourself!

So what categories could I enter in this business awards program?

There are loads of categories you can choose from. Any number of entries may be submitted to any number of the following categories. The same entry may be submitted to multiple categories, if appropriate.

The eligibility period for 2012 entries extends from July 1, 2011 – your entries should describe achievements since that date. The only exceptions to this rule are the Best New Company, Lifetime Achievement, and web site, blog and app categories – there is no eligibility timeframe period for these categories.… Check out the full list of categories here.

But I don’t have the time to enter business awards!

Sure you do! … For almost all of the categories all that is required is as follows (you could complete this in your lunch hour one day this week!)

1. An essay of up to 500 words describing the nominated individual’s achievements in the category since July 1, 2011
2. A biography of up to 100 words of the nominee
3. Optional (but highly recommended), a collection of supporting files and web addresses that you may upload to our server to support your entry and provide more background information to the judges.

How do I get started entering these business awards for women?

  1. Request an entry kit for the 2012 awards here
  2. Review the entry kit and write your entries
  3. Submit your entries by the entry deadline (28 September)

It Really Is THAT Easy!

We hope you will take this fabulous opportunity to get your business recognised on a world stage.
