Our team have PR experience on 'both sides of the fence' having worked in the media at publications & stations in various locations around the world, and conducting PR campaigns for a wide range of companies. We've also conducted media training and handled media liaison on sometimes sensitive issues. Some of our team have degrees in Public Relations, or in event management or PR related areas. As a PR agency we tailor the most effective services to your business to successfully promote your company. Our strong PR focus will benefit any business, no matter what size, or what goals you wish to achieve. Our priority is the successful promotion of your company and we are one of the only PR agencies to offer such an extensive range of integrated creative services. Importantly our copy will not contain washed out values, impersonal terminology, deliberately ambiguous and unachievable goal setting and cliched generalisms. That kind of sleepy corporate banter is not for us. Instead we'll deliver top notch, hit 'em between the eyes powerful paragraphs that get media and other strategic alliances you may be targeting to stand up and notice! Here's just a few areas of PR we can comfortably assist you with for maximum benefit to you, your company, your product, your event or your brand..

How we work

In all cases, we work with you on a totally flexible basis. You may choose to engage us for a one off PR campaign to a local audience, or to achieve real results, contract us for a minimum three month period to a retainer over a 12 month period where we can really get some momentum. Please note however that when it comes to PR, we are selective of the clients we choose to work with. If we don't think you have newsworthy angles that we can achieve coverage for, we will politely decline the opportunity to work with you. Find out more by getting in touch.

As a keen BMX rider, 21 year old Jonathan Zuvela found his wired earphones were constantly falling out of his ears, so decided to take matters into his own hands and develop NEXTEAR - the world’s smartest wireless earphones. When he came to us prototypes were done, a manufacturer in China had been sourced and all that was left to complete the young entrepreneur’s dream was to raise the $20,000 dollars he required to manufacture the first run of the products, which he chose to do via crowd-funding platform Indiegogo.

To ensure the PR campaign had every chance at success, we worked with Jonathan on a quick re-brand and website refresh before the launch of the campaign calling on all of our national and international media contacts. What happened next surpassed all expectations. We secured the client an extensive amount of media all around the world featuring him on countless blogs in numerous languages. See the pinterest board below to view the coverage we achieved.

As the winner of the Sunshine Coast's inaugural Startup Weekend event in 2014, an event we were the publicist for, we loved helping VR Smart View (now called Phenomec) promote their innovative technology - a head mountable display case that utilizes the smartphone as a mobile immersive media device.

Users can slot their smart phone into the headset, which the team are anticipating will retail for as little as $100, and thereafter enjoy 3D movies, games or engage in other smartphone related activities on a huge screen, hands & cords free! The idea had enormous commercial potential, in a market which was extremely hot at the time following the sale of the Oculus Rift to Facebook for $2bn earlier in 2014.

After winning the Startup Weekend with a 3D printed prototype, secured $450 in sales, and a potential multi-million dollar distribution deal (which we connected them to), we worked with them to generate 21 media pieces of media coverage in some of the biggest startup/tech media in Australia such as startupsmart.com.au, techworld.com.au, arnnet.com.au computerworld.com.au, as well as main stream media such as ABC media and even international coverage in Germany! What a great way to launch a brand new tech business!

Schoolzine, one of Australia’s fastest growing eNewsletter platforms, used by hundreds of schools across Australia, worked with The Creative Collective on a PR campaign to announce their expansion into New Zealand. Schoolzine enables schools to digitize their important communications to parents and the wider school community and increase and monitor engagement. Now offering their digital solutions to schools in all states and territories of Australia, Schoolzine has given over $600,000AUD in revenue back to Aussie schools through its innovative rebate system and sees New Zealand, which is geographically closer than many of its schools in Australia, as a logical new market. A range of online media and NZ media coverage was achieved as can be seen on the Pinterest board below.

The world's gamers were challenged to use their imagination and online game Minecraft to generate ideas for the redevelopment of a Sunshine Coast suburb’s central business district. Minecraft allows users to tap into their creativity to construct and build designs in a digital world. The Creative Collective were proud to PR this very innovative global project and to secure a wide range of national and international media in the process, including placements in Brisbane Times, the Sydney Morning Herald and CIO magazine which helped get the word out about the competition and saw entries coming in from most states in Australia for the competition, and even New Zealand!

Ok so it's not a tech product per say but this campaign for our director, Yvette Adams' second self-published book very much involved contacting tech media, as well as a range of parenting and mainstream media, to get the word out on a topic which is hotly talked about. This campaign was executed in stages, firstly in Australia in 2014, and later in New Zealand in 2015, with two national television pieces secured in each country. The campaign very much established our director as a much sought after public speaker and media commentator on the topic of kids and technology.
