Yvette Adams - Director
Specialty areas: websites :: PR :: marketing :: event management :: writing
From Big Ben to the Big Pineapple, Yvette has led an exciting career as a freelance writer, speaker, author, PR/marketing consultant, online and offline editor, events manager and mother of two.
Yvette was born on the fortunate cusp of Generation X & Y into a techie family which at any one time had several computers littered about the house. She started her first business at the age of 17 – a newspaper – which was bought out by an American entrepreneur after its first issue. She created her second business and first e-commerce site in 2002 – an online tee-shirt business. Within one month of launching she received a Government Grant and won a website award. In 2006 she sold the global business and concentrated on launching The Creative Collective – a creative services agency offering PR, marketing, website design, development and optimization, internet marketing, graphic design, photography and more. She won the Queensland Small Business Champions Specialised Small Business Award in 2008, the Queensland Small Business Champions Young Entrepreneur Award in September 2007 and has been a finalist in numerous other local, regional, national and even international business awards.

Leah’s extensive experience in web writing and editing stems from her role as a website editor for Brisbane City Council, which she started soon after attaining a Bachelor of Journalism (QUT).
It was in the local government communications industry that she gained invaluable experience turning government language into words meaningful to the community, and went on to work in other local government web management roles.
After years of writing, editing and producing web content for local councils, Leah shifted her focus to a freelance career and is now enjoying the fun and fast-paced opportunities here at The Creative Collective.

Clayton Storey - Graphics Guy
Clayton Storey's love for design saw him develop a general interest into a fully-fledged freelance career.
Starting out with flyer and poster development for local community groups, Clayton's design interest and flourishing skills led him to a job at a local firm which provided trade businesses with signs, vehicle livery, merchandise and custom-made gifts.
His thirst for travel took him to the UK where he worked for a nation-wide electrical retailer producing design collateral from an in-house studio.
It was through continual training and advanced specialist courses in London that Clayton was able make the move to a design agency.

Leah Carri
She kept up her interest in film by writing movie reviews for her local paper and was even approached to work as a film reviewer for one of Ireland’s national radio stations. In 2005, Leah fell in love again, this time with an Aussie boy! She followed her heart to Queensland and has continued to work in the radio industry and also spent some time working for a PR company servicing various mining giants in Central Queensland.
Leah’s journalism expertise translates perfectly to working in PR. She’s a pro at extracting information from clients and turning it into snappy, concise copy. Plus she’s got the inside track on what’s going to grab a journo’s attention. Leah has an extensive background in journalism and radio.

Tania Brady
With Tania on board we are able to extend our range of skills to include business coaching and trademark registration. After a decade as a commercial lawyer and following the birth of her two children, Tania started her own coaching business working with the owners of SMEs to improve their sales, cash, profits and results. She has degrees in Economics and Law, is an accredited coach with the Results in Business Institute and, to satisfy her creative itch, even obtained a Diploma in Interior Design. Her rare balance of logic and creativity enables her to solve problems in ways others can't … a skill she has found particularly useful when applied to challenges arising during the trademark examination process. Over the years she has won praise from some of Brisbane's best trademark attorneys when she successfully obtained registration of trademarks they thought would not be registrable! Tania knows that, as a business asset, your trademarks are as important to your success as sales, marketing, strategies and planning. She is amazed by people who spend a small fortune on developing a brand and then do absolutely nothing to prevent others from stealing it. For this reason she is very excited to contribute her services and help protect the names and logos that the rest of the team have created for you.
